My name is Nichole and my Grandma always jokes that I was born in the wrong century. It may be true but I would sure miss the internet and imported cheese & wine! 🙂
Join me as I write about things I’m up to: cooking, homemaking and I hope in the near future… organic farming.
Shortly after graduating as a Civil Engineer and working in that field for a little while I decided that career wasn’t for me. What would I enjoy? A food business! So I started and ran an Italian market with my Mom for 7+ years. It was great fun and we had a blast. That chapter just closed up for me so let’s see what happens next!

Hi Nichole-
Your site strikes a chord with me. Though I work in high tech, I have an organic garden, do my own canning, make some pretty mean almond biscotti, and I can forage with the best of them. When I do my wash I hang my clothes out to dry on a line. I also have the sense of born in the wrong century, except-for-the-internet… does that make us “steampunkers?” lol. Looking forward to getting to know you and your blog community.

Your wonderful site also strikes a chord with me. I really enjoy doing “old-fashioned” cooking and look forward to trying some of the recipes.
